Theoretical weight — actual billed weight is weighbridge/scale weight. Formulas used: pipe kg/m = π × (OD − wall) × wall × density ÷ 1000 (mm inputs); sheet kg = length × width × thickness × density; rod kg/m = π/4 × dia² × density ÷ 1000. Density: SS 304 = 7.93 g/cm³, SS 202 = 7.80 g/cm³. Example: a 1" (25.4 mm) OD, 16g (1.63 mm) SS 304 round pipe weighs ≈ 0.97 kg per metre.
