SS prices track nickel and mill markets, so any website showing fixed prices is showing stale ones. Here is exactly how our pricing works — and what a proper quote must contain.
How your price is built
- Rate per kg for your grade (304 / 202) and product, fresh for the day.
- × Theoretical weight of your list — we calculate it and show the working (or use the weight calculator yourself).
- + GST 18% — always shown separately, proper tax invoice with our GSTIN.
- + Freight & loading if delivered — told upfront, not added at billing.
- Validity window — every quote states how long the rate holds.
Compare any two quotes fairly
- Same grade? (202 quoted against 304 looks 25% cheaper — it isn’t the same steel)
- Same gauge? (a 20g pipe vs 16g pipe differs ~40% in weight)
- GST included or extra?
- Freight included?
- Billed on actual scale weight or a padded “standard” weight?
